It sounds like Belle is doing great. I just got a new puppy two weeks ago he is three months. This is my first dog so i am learning still as well. My puppy is a Boston Terrier named Murphy. He knows sit, down, paw, and he is learing to leave it. I have read a little about training and in what i've read and in my expierience use a treat and act like you are playing a game with them, dont say the word come, use a stern voice, or call a dog to disipline them. This will cause them to associate coming with being disiplined and they will become fearful. So act like you are playing a game use a treat go in a different room in your house from the dog and say things like come and find me, where am i, i have a cookie/treat. I read this in an AKC book and it works! Plus it is alot of fun. Also when you are in a sticky situation where the dog gets loose it will pay off to teach the dog this way. This way he will not think he/she will get punished for running away when he/she comes back. Eventually you won't have to use treats either. I am a strong believer in praise when the dog does well. Kindness but Sterness. Also i am new to this anyone have a suggestion about nipping andc biteing.-Danielle
