    pets

My neighbor has this awesome dog that they keep ignoring. I went to their door to meet them and to make friends with the dog as it is out alot - chases me - as it is hot 100 degrees and it is getting grouchy. They are yelling neighbors. I am trying to figure out how to handle this without causing a neighborhood fight. They did answer the door but could care less that I knew or didn't know if their dog was friendly.

My whole family loves dogs so this is wierd for me. Not sure they deserve a dog.

Try bringing your neighbors some cookies to warm them up.  The ask if you can play with their dogg since you noticed it out in the heat so often and maybe water him and give snackss once in a while.

     maybe that will work.

     Just an idea.

The dog was out in their front yard again today. She made no attempt to bring it in. It was hot. They have a privacy fenced back yard. What I neglected to say in my first little note when I went to the door -- the adult daughter and boyfriend screamed Mom someone is at the blankity blank door. Lots of yelling inside etc. The dog cowarded down a bit from their yelling. I love dogs but hubby says Do not go over there again. We have a quiet neighborhood and in 5 years this is the first thing that has happened to make me say anything negative about the neighborhood at all. There are no pets running around this neighborhood at all.

Thanks for the suggestions. I give up - just hope that another neighbor says something to them too.

Call anumal control as this is abuse to leave a dog out in that telmperature.  Or get a few of your neighbors to go over togethther as there is safety in numbers and try to discuss it with them.  Hope you save this poor pet from this =.

Try to give them some fruits or even a freshly baked loaf, to cool them down and win their attention. This may give them a hint that you wanna be friend with them. Try this for like twice then if you seen some changes in their behavior towards you, I think that's the best time for you to talk to them about their dog. I just hope I helped. Cheers!

YES IT IS SO SAD TO SEE AND TO KNOW IN YOUR HEART THAT A PET IS BEING IGNOURED AND NEGLECTED.THE POOR ANIMAL DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO ACT IF THEIR OWNERS DO NOT CARE ENOUGH TO SPEND TIME WITH THE PET AND GET THE PET USE TO DIFFERANT THINGS.I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY TO DO I JUST THINK IT IS SAD...
