    Fetching Cat

My mixed Siamese cat Angel, has a  favorite game of retrieving thrown objects,  Just wondering if other cats fetch objects (mostly little balls) because I have never seen this before.  Of course it's adorable...until I wear out before she does...LOL

Hello  Youbetcha.  Sorry my reply is so late but I am not on line too often.  Angel retrieves little puff balls. Her favs are the sparkle ones and she carries them around all the time.  But her most favorite game is when I throw one down the steps...sometimes she will bring them back to me for fifteen minutes!  I don't know how she can run up and down those steps for so long!  With your name tag, I am betting you are from MN...maybe?

My siamese like to retrieve also. It is a trait of the breed.

Hi! One of my cats fetches also :) She doesn't bring the balls all the way back, she'll stop about 10 feet away from me, drop it on the floor and stare at me til I come over, pick up the ball and throw it again. My other cat watches all this with great interest, but has no interest in trying it or learning it himself.

That is great....and such fun!  Also, it gives them a little more exercise.  My other cat wouldn't play along either and sadly, I lost her several months ago to cancer.  So my little Angel (half Siamese and 1/2 farm cat) stay busy but still  miss our buddy.  Thanks for writing a note, Kasey.  Jana

Yes, more dog like...LOL  But I have read her breed is known for this trait...even though she is only 1/2 Siamese.  But maybe the other farm cat half taught her tricks!  TY for comment...Jana

You will enjoy a Siamese....they are truly playful and loving...I lost my full breed to cancer before she was five years old....we still miss her..  My only suggestion would be to get two cats at the same time....they also love to romp, run  and play with each other!  Best wishes with whatever you decide to do....Jana
