Not sure what you are asking about? This thread does not contain enough information. Do you mean feeding dog food to cats?

If you have run out of food and the store is closed a little dog food *No onion or Garlic* one time would not hurt a cat.  Feeding dog food all the time will cause health problems. Cats have special dietary needs, taurine is needed for heart health and eyesight.

I think the question was with regard to Dog "treats."  Although giving your Cat a Dog treat one time probably wouldn't hurt, I wouldn't make it a habit.  Dog treats are generally much larger than Cat treats, meant for a Dog, and flavored to appeal just to Dogs.  Your Cat deserves treats meant just for him/her.

We recently tried the new Friskie's Party Mix treats for Cats.  Moonshadow is absolutely crazy about them.  They come in two flavors, chicken or Fish.  He loves them both.  He has lots of other choices for treats, but he refuses anything else now that he has sampled this one.  I recommend it, and it is less costly than some of the other brands.
