Really great product! Had purchased a aluminum style from a different Amazon seller and all the etched type faded off - so I search for a new tag, and saw this stule with a lifetime warranty. So I purchased for my 9 month old active pup, and it looks great! Also, we were at the bach not too long ago, and lost the tag. We used the ring the tag came with - so maybe not the most secure attachment. I got home, contacted the seller, and they happily replaced the tag no charge! I ordered the paw style so only the back side is engraved while the front side has paw prints design.
I ordered 3 of them; 1 for my cat, 1 each for my 2 shih tzu dogs. They’re a tad big but they still look pretty cute on them.

Line limit is supposed to be 4 lines only however one of my dogs have a ridiculously long name but CNATTAGS was kind enough to accommodate 5 lines to fit in all the info. :)

Tags are thick and won’t bend easily like others.

I received the Dog Tag promptly. It is stainless steel and thick enough to last for a long time with black lettering that is easy to read. I may use a different ring to attach it to my dog’s collar. The ring that comes with it seems a little weak. Two sided printing allows me to include my dog’s name, my name and phone, and his vet’s name and phone. This is a solid product that clearly etches your information the tag. The depth of the etching will last for years and not become difficult to read like so many of the aluminum ones do. The information I requested on the tag was faithfully

Steel has a matte rather than shiny finish, makes them a bit dull. Other than that they are very well done. You can tell these will last for years to come. They are definitely not flimsy, nice thick steel but not heavy. Would buy again but dont think I will need to for many years! Personalization was flawless. These are very nice dog tags. I didn't realize that since I only had 2 lines of text (my dog's name and my phone number underneath) that it would be printed on both sides of the tag. Also, the engraving is on both sides, which I didn't realize until receipt, but it's a nice touch! It occurred to me that it would do little good to have our home phone number on our pups' dog tags when we they come with us on vacation. Since they already had tags, I needed to get them ones that would have our cell phone number on them instead of our home phone. Ta da - found these (ordered the bone shape in stainless). No colors - since they would clash with their collars/leashes.

I have 2 small dogs (12 and 17 pounds) and needed new tags. I figured if these didn’t work, I wouldn’t have spent much on them. I cannot believe what I got for this price! I was pleased with this tag and how much information that it can accommodate. It’s not a very sturdy feeling tag, but that’s ok. The reason I can’t give 5 stars is because of the ring that is provided with the tag. It’s flimsy and small. Literally, about the thickness & strength of a paper clip. I am very pleased with these tags. I bought 2, liked them a lot, so I bought 2 more. Inexpensive enough to have one on every collar. My dog is very active - swimming, running through the woods, getting muddy. No problem with letters rubbing off. I love this tag! It came out much better than I expected. It is a thicker material so won't bend easily. I will say we did lose it once because the ring it comes with isn't great quality and the ring came off. But, we found the tag (not the ring!) and just switched out the ring. I ordered multiple tags for my Chinese Shar-Pei pups and not only were they shipped to me much faster than expected, but they're perfect! ... I've spent way more money for tags from other companies in the past, and either the colored side chipped off within a few weeks, or the whole tag cracked! I can't see this being an issue with these tags, but even IF something were to happen, you cannot beat the price! ... I'd have no problem replacing them! The writing is clear and the shape of the tag is very nice, but the etching doesn't appear all that deep. My only concern is how long these will last before needing to be replaced. Only time will tell. Otherwise, they got here very fast, all the information was correct, and at the price, even if I do have to get new ones sooner rather than later, it's a good value compared to other dog tags I've purchased previously. Item did not arrive, but I contacted the seller and they sent a replacement without any hassle. As far as I can tell the tag is exactly as advertised. It appears to be stainless steel (heavier than aluminum, not attracted to a magnet) and the lettering seems to be laser-engraved rather than printed like I was worried it might be. The engraving is pretty shallow (which is typical for a laser engraver on metal) so I'm not sure how it'd stand up to abuse, but my dog is pretty sedate so it's not likely to get beaten up. I love these! I've had to order these quite frequently because my cat keeps losing his collar. We also just moved, so I had to order new ones for my dogs. I've purchased several tags from various businesses on Amazon and these have been the best so far. These are thick metal and the wording doesn't fade like some of the cheaper, thinner tags. This tag works well. Yes, it has begun to show wear after a couple weeks, but what low-priced tag doesn't when it is constantly rubbing against the other tags? I leave the most important side facing outwards and that side has almost no wear. If you use this as a standalone tag it will be fine. For the very low price I am pleased with the engraving, it's readable, which is the most important thing. Initially was a little bit too shiny and was very distractive when I put it on my puppy. The Puppy would sit in one place and track the reflection on the floor had to take it off of the Puppy. I don't really know what we were expecting but this tag is 'Above Industry Standard' compared to those inscribed at a pet supply and beyond. The letters are black, bold, and easy to see on both sides of the tag. Ours is a bit large for a small dog but perfect for our spaniel. I would definitely order again if needed. I purchased this star-shaped metal tag as a replacement for a cheap aluminum one that had become unreadable. The engraving on the CNATTAGS Stainless Steel Pet ID looks like it will last. After two months, there is no sign of wear from my dogs other tag rubbing on it. The finish of the tag was shiny when new, but quickly lost the shine after my dog got it dirty in mud. After I cleaned the mud, the tag was no longer shiny. That's ok for my needs. My dog is a 55 lb Labrador Retriever and the size of this tag is good. This order came very fast, I ordered it pretty late at night and they had it out for shipment the same night. Came in a clearly labeled envelope that was easy to distinguish from junk mail or bills. Only one downside, the coloring they used for the stamp seemed a little frail. I wiped off residue with a general disinfectant wipe and some coloring came off. I decided to clear coat spray the tags and it helped a lot. It made the metal more shiny and the stamp color appear clearer. Hopefully that will help the tags last longer. I just received my military style dog tag, promptly and as described. It looks well constructed and will do the job. I withheld the 5th star not because of the tag itself, but the small ring provided to attach the tag to the collar. Maybe it's just me, but I found the attaching ring provided to be on the small side, thin and the smooth ring surface I suspected could lead to wear or loss. This is a great dog ID tag. I was able to get all of my information using both sizes. Looks more like it should cost $20.00. I can't find any reason to not be happy. These should last for years. They say so on their web site and I believe it. The rectangle size is the best way to go here. They laser the characters into the tag so it should not just rub off in a couple of months. I’m a fan of these. They are among the cheapest you can find on amazon, normal tag quality, I’ve tried a few different kinds, and these were the same quality wise as $8-9 tags. They are engraved, not printed. Came with rings to attach them on the collar. Would order again. (Posted on 2/12/2019)

Durable!! I'm not rating the spiral rings since these always go in the trash for me and get replaced with S hooks from the hardware store. But I've had these a rather long time. Looked them over and they still look like new. Still as clear to read as they were from day one and no wear through at the ring hole. This is what usually does my tags in. Very impressed. Be aware, these tags are large. They are a good size for a medium to large sized dog, but not for a small one. They would hang down into the food and water dishes for a small pet. However, this company is awesome! When I ordered these tags and they turned out to be too large for my small pets, I called them to ask how I could send them back and get smaller ones. They said no need to send the old ones back! They replaced my large tags with new, smaller ones (with enamel designs on the front) at no extra charge! I got this tag as a replacement for an old one I purchased from another company because of some updates. I'm very happy with its quality and the price. The one thing I wish I had paid more attention to is its size. It is a very large tag for my small puppy. Ordered the military tag for my dog with his name, address and my phone number. I put it on his collar with his rabies and county license and now, if he should get lost somehow, i feel more confident that he will be returned to me. The tag was fine, and very very cheap in price. But less than a week after attaching it to the dog's collar with the ring that came with it, both the ring and the tag had quietly fallen off during a walk, never to be seen again. If you buy this, use your own ring to attach it.

UPDATE: I increased my star rating to 4 because we found the tag about 8 months after it fell off! Someone had found it on the street and placed it on a hydrant, where it sat through snowstorms and rain...and then one day I called our dog's name and someone who happened to be walking her own dogs asked if the tag belonged to us and showed it to us on the hydrant where a neighbor had put it. I had a small issue with my tags. They accidentally didn’t line up as I expected... my street name is long & is a ROAD (not a street) & my city starts with Saint, abbreviated “St” so it lined up wrong on the tag “XXXXX St” just a small mishap. I love it! Looks so much better then the last one I bought a few months ago was the same price but from a different seller and was a smaller one because he was a puppy. He still is only 4 months old but over 35 pounds already so he needed a new bigger dog tag. It really stands out nice the print stands out more then his old one. I'm very happy! The only thing that I'm not 100% thrilled with is the little key ring it comes with is kinda thin so I might have to replace it with a bit heavier duty one later on just so it doesn't rip off. Excellent tag for pet collars. Easy to customize, easy to read, loads of space for "If Found..." info. I liked them so well I ordered two more for people-tagging to alert paramedics/hospital staff with prescription med info and next-of-kin phone numbers. Bought two of these tags for my dogs. The benefit to this tag over others is that it can be engraved on both sides, meaning more details can be given about your animal. My dog has only worn this tag for a few days so far, so I can't yet speak to its longevity. However, it looks really shiny and well made, with a substantial, but not too heavy metal base. I got the stainless bone, with 4 lines on each side. I appreciated a choice of fonts, and the ability to have info on both the front AND the back -- included dog's name, our address, town, and state, my mobile number, husband's mobile and home phone, as well as my email. I received my tags yesterday. The star is a little too big for my toy dog puppy. That is my fault since the measurements are on the listing. But it is cute and maybe he’ll grow into it. I will be ordering more from CNATTAGS. Their tags are cute and at a very reasonable price, that I was able to buy my puppies multiple tags! Perfect. The price is right. Took a while to get here, but with my crazy schedule it would have taken me that long to go to the pet store anyway.

This is the second time I've ordered tags here. The tags are great, very quick service. My only problem is the split ring is too thin and flimsy. The reason I had to order a new set is because apparently my dog's tags got caught on something and pulled off her collar. The split ring that came with her new license is much more robust. Upon placing our order, we received the tags within a week. This is the 2nd time ordering form them. The paw print tag we got was cute. The engravings on the back was a good size font and legible. Tags are sturdy and not flimsy. The only suggestion I would recommend is to REPLACE the key chain ring it comes with, with a stronger one. excellent quality steel tag, and the engraving is deep and will be long lasting. Quality split-ring. Ordering is simple, the text layout changes size as more lines and text is put in so what you see is what you will get.
Was a little slow, but I'm probably getting spoiled by Amazon's rapid deliveries!
Only thing I would add would be a clear plastic adherent cover on one side, so that the tag doesn't clink with rabies tag and license permit, and worse, wear off the engraving (less likely here as the engraving is deep). Disappointed. I got 3 paw prints. I expected the words to not be "real engraving" in spite of description. But based on the pics I thought the paw print image would be formed in the metal as it appears silver in the pic. One tag the paw was off center. The paw and words are DARK grey/black. Easy to read, but are raised and a little rough, like fine sand paper. Seems like it would last a while, but "lifetime" is questionable. Metal is shiny, nice weight. These are perfect! We originally looked at the DIY machine in the entry of Wal-Mart but the tiny tags were $5/each and this size was $8. We didn't need them in a hurry so we checked online and found these. They are twice the size and half the price. $3.95/ea(we got 4) and the size is fine for our smallest, a snorkie at 5 lbs and heeler/ rot who is 100 lbs. We are very pleased. These tags are as good or better quality than tags costing 4 times as much (ASIN: B00BJLS55G) Two of these for about three dollars vs. 8 dollars each for the others. We have some of each, bought the expensive ones first and then these. The engraving is about the same - neither is very deep - but they're almost identical. The sheet steel that this one is made from may be a bit thinner but it's plenty sturdy and lighter weight.

If I had it to do over again I'd buy these exclusively. There's no future in aluminum tags. Eventually they weaken & break at the attachment hole.

I love the fact that these tags are printed on both front and back. Both of my Pitties have medical conditions that can be life threatening. Even though my girls are chipped I like the way that having the extra printing surface allows me to get more vital information to whoever may see it right away.

I am a frugal person so tried to find a cheaper product when I first got a puppy, two years ago. All the pet shops were disappointing as they are lined with really pricey options for a dog name tag. I have ordered multiple tags 3 separate times and been very pleased with the look and quality. The only problem I have are the attachment rings. The have been snagged and easily stretched out to loose the tag. I end up buying titanium rings that are super strong instead of using the ones supplied. We just received this personalized tag and I think it is a good value and a great price. My husband initially insisted it was stamped aluminum until I showed him that it was actually engraved. The print is legible and a nice sized font. My other dog has a similar one that might be a bit heavier but I can say that after 2+ years, the engraving on it has worn a bit, so I don't think they are meant to last forever. I have ordered 3 of these tags. The first one was lost because the ring failed. I ordered two more just in case one was lost again, I had a back up and didn't have to wait for another one to be made. I am a repeat customer and these tags are good, basically the same as rabies tags, a little thinner but the engraving seems the same. One of my dogs, a pup, liked to chew on hers and eventually I had to order another. She also chewed on her "sister's" and I replaced that one. But she was a heavy chewer and I'm attaching a photo of her rabies tag, her ID tag looked the same before I replaced it. Brought the paw first, then I brought the bone because the front and back could be engrave up to 4 lines and I could put more information on it. The engraving was free and very easy to see. Arrive fairly quickly. Not sue how long the engraving will last but seem to last a life time. My brother gave me his dog without me realizing he gave me his dog when he ask me to house train her. OK, when I first got these, I was disappointed, because they were not engraved. I was looking for something like my old dog tags. I bought these to hook to flag grommets prior to retiring them. I wanted something that would survive the fire so that I could easily retrieve them with a magnet later.

I bought another one since I accidentally threw out my dogs collar after bath rime recently...needed new tags & a collar. Anyway, the one I had for the past 2 years was still perfectly legible and didn't even have any scratches. That's saying something given that I have a rambunctious Jack Russel who loves playing in the yard.

These are excellent, well-made tags. I recently purchased a couple of 3- and 5-way fruit trees, like an apple tree with five different branches producing 5 different kinds of apple. The tree comes with little plastic bands on each branch naming each kind of apple, bands that will deteriorate in a year or so. I replaced them with these tags describing each variety of fruit and in stainless steel they will no doubt outlive me! These tags are a wonderful, attractive way to keep something labeled that is exposed to the elements. I previously reviewed this and was not entirely happy because there were errors in the engraved information. I called the company, told them about their mistake, and within a week I got a replacement tag that is perfect. I was also told that if the engraving wears off because of being next to other tags, all I need to do is notify them, and they will replace the tags. These are durable and extremely easy to read. I loved the engraving offered! I was able to write medical conditions that others would need to be aware of if they happened to come across my pet, like blindness or hearing impaired. These stainless steel dog tags are beautiful! We ordered three for our three dogs and they arrived ready for installation with a stainless metal ring for attachment to the collar. The tags are engraved with a dark brown letter scheme that you design when placing the order. All in all I am very pleased with this purchase particularly considering the very reasonable price. In the past my disappointment with dog tags is that they don’t age well, becoming scratched and illegible. So time will tell about these tags but they are starting off very well. Shipped extremely fast! I gave it 4 stars because of how thin the metal is, but other than that I am very happy with it for the price!! I love that you could put so much information on it by having both sides engraved. The engraving is deep and clear so someone can easily read my wiggly waggly lab as she excitedly greets them. She tends to sneak off to roam the neighborhood because everyone knows and loves her so she often visits for treats. While it's sweet that they love her so much, the treats are a problem for this reason and the fact that she is already 95 plus pounds. I purchased two of these dog tags in December 2018. It took a while to receive the product - about 3 weeks. The tags were correctly imprinted with the information I'd provided. The letters have a black highlight so, the tags are very readable. The tag material itself is not thick but certainly thick enough not to easily bend. A small attachment ring is included for each dog tag. The tags are highly polished and quite visible on the dog's collar.

I am so happy with the tag I had made for my new pup! I especially like being able to engrave both sides of the tag. My dog is hearing impaired and I had my top line of the tag to say "Hearing Impaired", on both sides. Then his name and my phone number. I am very happy with the quality and the delivery, I will certainly use this seller again! My opinion - I really believe this tag was an exceptional buy. I have gone through every permutation a dog tag that I’ve been able to find and none of them last more than a few months with my active babies. Pretty soon they’re scratched and worn and you can’t read what’s on them anymore so I have to get new ones. These things are amazing. Well there are a few little dings and scratches and stuff they are still looking almost new and more importantly everything that I had written on them is completely and totally legible. I have gone through several dog tags which have lost their 'engraving', rendering them pointless. These dog tags not only have a much deeper engraving to them, the metal is thicker and the engraving has been blackened to make it more readable.
I received them right away, despite ordering in the Christmas rush. (My dog had lost his tag.)
I also appreciated the ability to use different fonts, not just the typical Ariel boredom.
I highly recommend these and will be ordering more for tagging my luggage and other important items.

Without knowing she was gone, someone was knocking on my door with my dog by her side, saying she was almost hit by a car. Very fast shipping, especially for a personalized item. Printed exactly what I specified, so very happy. Both sides, too, for the same price! That allows for name, address, three phone numbers, and a job description (my dogs are working dogs). Painless and definitely cheaper than the vet’s office or the kiosks at Walmart. The ring connector was small for what I needed (150lb dog with a huge collar), but should be fine for most normal sized dogs. I mainly bought a tag because I haven’t gotten one dog microchipped yet (on the list of things to do), but I will be buying more tags for my other dogs (who are microchipped) so they have easily accessible contact information, just in case. I have had my dog for eight years and have moved a few times since Rocco and I have been together. I have ordered ID tags from other vendors and the quality has varied greatly and was never all that great.

CNATTAGS was a very pleasant surprise. The tags arrived quickly and when they did I was very impressed with how clear and legible the tags are.

Any dog owner will tell you that doing all you can to make sure your dog can be readily and easily identified if they should ever become lost is a big concern. The print is faint and off center. The last number in one of our phone numbers is almost off the edge of the tag and is hard to make out. I don't think this is engraved and just does not look like it will last long. I bought the heart shaped one for my cat and it is large but the material is thin so it's lightweight. I was hoping for better and will probably end up replacing this soon. Disappointed mainly in the print clarity and placement....could have been much better. My family has two dogs, Peggy and Chewy "Chewbacca." I wanted to get them dog tags that will help them get back to us when they somehow gets separated from us. With these tags you have 4 lines for each side to put whatever info you feel you need. For both Peggy's and Chewy's tags we put my son as the contact person for one and the other my daughter. Our address, two phone numbers as well as a message saying " I am microchipped!" since we do plan on put one on both of them. But as I've stated earlier you can put whatever info you want. Really high quality tag, most tags don't allow you to get engravings on both sides let alone have the engravings be so legible. I do feel like if my dog was lost she would be bought back easily.The size of the tag and the large print people could easily read it (maybe even read it from far away) and get her back to me before something serious could happen. I decided to go with description of my dog and 4 phone numbers to get in contact with and in one of the pictures I tilted the tag in attempt to show the engravings, while in the other photos you can see the size comparison to other tags.

I dont think this is a tag for toy breeds because it might just be too heavy, the only way I could see a small dog owner using this for is if it was on a harness or leash instead of a collar. (Posted on 2/5/2019)

My cat Charlie looks so handsome in the green one. It is the right size for a cat or a small dog. I put them on my phone to order again. Charlie (my cat) seems to lose his, collar and all on a regular basis. My cat is a senior and indoors like many of us humans. He rarely wears a collar but the few times he was resting somewhere and would not come when we call, I 've panic because I assume that he has gotten out and lost etc.
So, we have moved 10 years ago and his old tag is a bit outdated.
Ordering these tags was very easy and when I got it, they were exactly what I expected.

Now, I have adopted a pair of brothers outside the house. And, the baby has not come around this week but the big bro is staying put pretty much. I have to get him some collar with tags. I am guessing that the little one is gone, trapped and hopefully adopted by some good hearted family.

These tags are great!
Just got a new rescue dog & even though he's not the type to run away or escape, it's tradition in our family for all our 4-legged pets to proudly sport name tags & after some shopping around here & online, I settled on these CNA Tags.
The price was very reasonable & the tag arrived relatively quickly --quicker than advertised-- and it seems to be of above-average quality.
I love that they're very customizable; several lines of text where I had printed:
His name
Our address
My name
My phone number
An alternate phone number of another house-member
The fact that he's microchipped
And a little line that let people know that Max is friendly but can be shy at first.
Basically, everything you'd want someone to know in the case that they found your lost pet.
I recommended these to my Mom, who has several pets & she thinks they're great, too.
I'm not able to speak to their ability to stand the test of time quite yet, but if something changes I'll update this review & let everyone know if they don't end up holding up well.

The round works fine for my Chihuahuas 4 ½ pounds and over. The heart is smaller and is very satisfactory - very good for tiny dogs 2 ½ pounds and up. The printing on mine IS clear and it definitely IS etched. Attractive, does not wear off. Tags are so important to keep your pet safe . Comic sans turns out to be a good clear font.. I may try using some clear nail polish to protect them. This has not been my first time buying this brand, and I have no complaints . The ones from another company did not wear well. I ordered 3 hearts and 4 round on 12/20 and received them today Jan 2, 2019. I also have one that I have been keeping on my key chain for months for MYSELF, and it still is fine . I have that my dogs are microchipped and reward on one side tag. If one should escape I REALLY want him back . I purchased a number of metal metal tag attachers (meant for keys) from Auto Zone. Seller is very responsive and accommodating. Needed some engraving in Russian, they were nice enough to do a sample and send pics so that I can decide on the amount of Russian stuff I can put (how visible it is, what the font looks like)

I ordered 5 dog bone shaped tags. I'm giving a 4 star review for a few reasons.... 1. The tags were cut a little poorly. Not so bad you can't tell what they are, but I've seen better cuts on the tags in the store. 2. The letter is stamped, not engraved as stated when you order. I don't yet know if this is a bad thing or not. As time goes on I will update you on this. But we took our dogs camping and nothing rubbed off so I'm going with the positive instead of the negative. 3. They could have done a better job spacing the information on the tag. The 1st and last number on the phones numbers almost come off the edge. Otherwise I believe the purchase is worth the price. Update: I've had this for my lil Bear now 6 months and it's still good to go. I thought the lettering would scratch off or become unreadable, but it's still there. So for the price, I think it deserves the upgrade to 4 stars.

You really do get what you pay for, so don't expect something really super quality here, at under $4 including shipping.

To that end, I am divided about how I want to present my review on these dog tags. On the one hand, the tag with the paw print is awfully cute, and with the engraving on the back, under $4, is pretty cheap. And I guess that's where the problem lies. Something this inexpensive (and no shipping costs, so that include the shipping), can't 'afford' to use quality processes or products. It is what it is. That said, this product has its merits-really cute, lightweight, and the no shipping costs is a plus (it arrives in a regular sized envelope).

The tag itself is stainless steel - thin but that's good because it won't add much weight. The paw print design is sweet. It came with the loop to attach it. There was plenty--I mean Plenty!-- of room on the back of the tag to put my name, phone, my dog's name, and the city/state (photos below - I of course blocked out my phone!). I realize now I didn't need all information; I guess I got carried away!

But after only about a week of my dog 'wearing' this tag, the black part of the engraving is rubbing off or wearing off (photo below). This leaves just the impression - which I'm not that upset about - isn't necessarily a bad thing; I can still read it, but it's rather light. I'll only wonder if the engraving part will wear away - especially as it rubs against his "rabies tag."

For this price, you do get just what you pay for, and if you are looking for an inexpensive tag for your pet or something temporary, then this fits that. I'm going to see how it wears over the next few weeks and if the engraving fades or is hard to read, I'll purchase something else and pay more for it. Actually, I'll look at the company and see if they have more of these but better quality ones - I'll gladly pay more for that - as I'll likely want to do one with less information on the back :D and something a little smaller perhaps.

I don't regret this purchase - for the money, I received something that if I decide I want something else, at under $4 including shipping it didn't break my bank and it allowed me to experiment with what I want to use as tags for my dog. (Posted on 2/5/2019)
