The dogs that I customized and ordered came quite fast in the mail. The engraving is easy to read. My dogs are rough on their collars and the tags have not worn off or fallen off. The only reason I've had to re-order these is because my dog has lost her collar a few times and I keep going back to this product. These tags are bright and shiny with good clear engraved print. I put this on 2 months ago and it's been through the washer a couple of times with no damage. Looks just like new. I don't think it's made to be moved from one collar to another as it is thin metal. But put it on and leave it and it should last a long time. Great tag, fit our Basenji’s collar perfectly. He did not like the jangly ID tag that hung down by his rabies tag, so this helped solve two problems. Heavy engraving will not rub off like screen-printed tags.

This is a great product. Our sassy little pup used to loose his tags all the time and that sassiness makes him a flight risk. This tag is the only thing he’s kept on for more than a few days. Tags were as advertised, easy to read, fit the collar perfectly. Make sure you get the right size for your dog's collar; I did, but I have multiple collars and it was clear when I was attaching it that if I tried it on a thinner collar it may not have stayed attached. I didn't rate the durability only because I just got the tags. I will say in general that if you have a puppy or a chewer of any kind really, that the best way to unsure durability is to get a tag the dog can't chew - which these tags are, being located on the collar.

The quality of the product is very good and exactly fits the descriptions. Just make sure you measure your pet's collar and order the according size. I ordered a bigger size for my kitties collar because I wanted it to be easily visible to anyone in case they cant get close enough. I was able to easily adjust the clips a bit with some pliers so it fits snugly and looks good. It's durable, with very clear text and a nice looking tag. All the other tags with customization were at least 2x the price so I figured if it was worth a shot even if the product wasn't good. I'm very impressed and satisfied and may get another tag to have a backup. My cat is outside and has lost several collars already. I ordered 2 of these in 2 different sizes for our 2 dogs. The tag itself is thinner than I expected, but is well imprinted and easy to read. There was some difficulty getting it on our large dogs collar, but got it on. The small dog's collar was easier as I could slide it on. Time will tell if these hold up and come off their collars. Needed a tag that wasn’t going to be chewed off. My 4 month old golden has a habit of chewing his tag off if he gets bored of his toys. This works perfect! I had never had a tag like this before and wanted to try it out. I have ordered dozens of different tags from this buyer before and they have their pros and cons but I continue to order! My pets are rough on tags so I’m constantly having to replace them and I was moving a lot so the information changed often on them. It’s always great to come on here and get a new one for a quarter of the price as Petsmart and in my opinion last just as long with how my 5 crazies go through tags. I will continue to order from them and they treat me like a valued customer. Anytime I have an issue they are on it! They have a customer for life. I bought these for a neighbor's indoor/outdoor cats. I like that there isn't anything that can get caught in it like a traditional, hanging tag might have. It's also noiseless which is a plus to me for a cat that spends times outdoors. The small size is a smidge too large in length and width to me for a cat collar but it did fit on the collar fine. I would only suggest that instead of being completely straight, for them to have a minimal curve to them to follow the curve of a collar on a neck. I was a little nervous that the prongs that allow it to clamp onto the collar would break off over time, but so far I’ve had this for a few months and haven’t had any problems. I did what others suggested and attached it where there was overlap of collar so that the prongs would be touching the second piece of collar vs touching my dogs neck (to ensure the prongs wouldn’t poke her). I've purchased this product twice now, once in the medium size for a 3/4 inch collar and again in the large size to put on a 1 inch harness. I love these tags. My dog has very sensitive skin so with the tradition dangling tags they touch her neck and create a rash. She also tries to crane her neck to bite at them. This solves those issues tremendously. I love using martingale collars, and the slide on tags cannot be slid into a martingale because there's no clasp or opening on the collar itself. I order the tags with the opening in the sides so that it easily fits into a martingale with no issues. In addition, the tag is silent which is a huge plus. My only critique would be with the lettering itself. There's a black ink over the engraving making it a little difficult to read. However if someone were to find your dog and was taking the time to read the tag, it's definitely legible. Overall I love this product and will be ordering again as it's so easy to fit onto martingale collars and harnesses and even leashes! And u cannot beat the price. This was easy to slip onto the harness for my schnauzer, and clear to read if she's ever lost. The tag came quickly--I've ordered one in the past, and really liked them so sought out the same vendor for this purchase. Notice they come with closed ends if you can slide the tag onto your collar or harness, and there are open ends if you need to just work them onto the harness, in the event you can't slide it on. The tag is easy to read and easy to attach to my dog’s collar. Shipping was fast and product was engraved accurately. I ordered the small and thought it was a little larger than I expected. However, it worked fine, even on the small collar I have for my five pound puppy. I like the slide on design because our heat and air vents are on the floor. I liked that these tags were flat against the collar since my dogs have a tendency to grab each other by their collars when playing. One of the tags had a wrong order in the phone number, I don't know if it was an error on their end or mine, but they immediately made a new one and sent it to me at no charge. I was really impressed with that.

Unfortunately my dogs are no longer wearing these because they bent them. They are not a light metal and don't bend easily, my dogs just play super rough. I would recommend these if you want a noiseless tag. (Posted on 10/17/2019)

I purchased this tag because I don't like noisy, dangling tags. She wears a harness and with pliers to bend the ends open wider and then closed again, and put a little curve in the tag, it fits securely. (I think only a belt type buckle on a collar/harness would allow the strap to snake through the ends.) I have it on a strap of the harness where the strap is doubled so the metal ends of the tag rub against the harness strap below, not her skin/fur. I believe it could be a little rough/abrasive if the metal ends were rubbing directly on the dog, especially if the ends weren't lying flat. I also think putting a curve in the tag is necessary to keep it comfortable if you use it on a collar. The engraving is very nice and clear. I had them engrave her name, two telephone numbers and "Microchipped" and it is all very legible. Very happy with this tag. (Posted on 10/17/2019)

I'm a professional pet sitter and I order a lot of tags from CNATTAGS, both for my business and my personal pets. Their prices are very fair and their turn-around time is always 1) as promised and 2) significantly faster than their competition. Quality is fine for the price (there are nicer tags in the marketplace for a higher price); these wear well with minimal scratching or fading. My only complaint is that they are mailed taped to the shipping list. The adhesive from the tape is virtually impossible to remove without leaving a blemish, even using alcohol (see photo). I'm not taking away a star in case this is a USPS requirement but my feedback to the company would be to try a different tape or skip the tape entirely. (Posted on 10/17/2019)

I purchased the 1"/Large tag for my Great Dane who wears a size L collar. I took the advice of another reviewer and placed the tag on the collar where it is double (as I tried to demonstrate in the photo) and the lack of curve in the tag was a non-issue.

I feel like this is a great quality product for a very good price. I was really excited at how quickly it arrived! I've only had this tag for a few weeks, but it has held up perfectly so far. I chose the Georgia font and 4 lines of text. The engraving leaves a little to be desired (it's a little spotty - could be due to the font or size?), but it's completely legible so I can't complain.

We like this. Fairly ease to put on his collar, and unique. At least I have never seen one on a dog before. I really like the fact his ID doesn't hang and clang around.

2 concerns:
If he gets out, I worry that because it's not a conventional tag, someone may look right over it. I also wonder how much force it'd take for the prongs to come loose if he gets it caught on something and tries to rip free. As of now, we have the Whistle 3 tracker Whistle 3 GPS Pet Tracker & Activity Monitor on his collar, so with that on, the tag doesn't have room to slide. He's only 8 weeks (German Shepherd), so his neck is no where close to the size it'll eventually be. Then, the tag may slide around.

Also, as others have stated, it comes as a flat piece of metal. I worked pretty hard to put a semblance of a bend in it, since his neck is not flat. Once we go up to the largest size, I doubt I'll be able to bend it smoothly.

The text is sharp.

My dog likes to shake her head and wake up my infant. I ordered these tags as a replacement for the jingle tags that she had before. I have been ordering my tags from this company for several years now. Although the lettering looks like it may not hold up, I have not had any problems with my other tags I have ordered from them. In fact, they last longer than the engraved tags you buy from the machine in Walmart. I do have some concerns about the metal, it seems to be a little thin, but I am going to let my dog wear them for a while before I comment decide if it is a problem or not. I was so excited about these. My cat goes through collars really quickly. The riveted tag I bought at PetSmart was perfect, but I had to throw it out with the collar once the collar was shot despite the tag still being in fine shape. So, I really like the idea of these tags. The printing is large and clear and seems likely to hold up well. The tags are flat but thin enough to bend relatively easily. Edges are not as smooth as they could be. The big problem is that even the small size is much too large for a cat collar. The description stated that the small size is intended to fit a 1/2” collar. The collars I bought are .4”. That's a little smaller than 1/2”, I grant, but these tags are so loose, I don't trust them to stay on. (Posted on 10/17/2019)

I could not stand the sound of my dogs jingling collars every night while I was sleeping. I am a light sleeper and my dogs sleep in my room with me. I would constantly wake up to the sound of their collars. I started taking their collars off and forgetting to put them back on - which defeats the purpose of even having them if one of my dogs were to ever get loose.

I searched for name tag alternatives that would be cheap and effective. I am SO glad I bought these. I wish I’d done it years ago. I already bought two and am going to buy a third one for my cat.

I did listen to the reviews which recommended placing the tag on the doublep-up portion on the collar where the adjustable strap is. This keeps the tag from rubbing on their skin and is a good idea.

Love these name tags and the fact that I don’t have to wake up to my dogs jingling when they are scratching in the middle of the night! Truly a lifesaver! (Posted on 10/17/2019)

I love these tags!! My husband is really adamant that our dogs can't have tags that dangle because the clanging noise annoys him. When I found these I bought 2 for our 2 large breed dogs. They are perfect! They arrived just like I ordered them - they look great, the writing is clear, they were VERY reasonably priced compared to other similar products. My dogs seem to not notice anything additional on their collars - they haven't itched at them at all etc.I agree with another reviewer that the best place on the collar to put it is the place where the collar doubles over so the metal prongs are cushioned with the fabric and not with the dogs skin, but other than that - I have no concerns with these at all. The reviews seemed good enough to pull the trigger and pony up a 5 spot for the tag. I was pleased that the tag came rather quickly, the text was accurate, and it fit very well on my dog's 1" collar. This tag is around the neck of a 1 year old, very active and rather large German Shepherd. He isn't gentle with it and it has seen hours of play time with another dog who is an equally active/rough player.

The printing is definitely easy to read, but the black against the silver can cause a little contrast issue. I saw that as a non-issue because if my dog gets out, I imagine the person who might find him will take a second to look at the collar and see the engraved phone number and chip #.

The photo shows a pretty filthy tag, but it also shows a nice tight fit. The tag is THIN. This hasn't been an issue, but I do know that similar tags for twice the price are slightly thicker. It doesn't move at all on the quick release nylon collar I have it on. The collar itself is properly fitted and the tag seems to rest fine against my dog's neck. He doesn't appear bothered by it nor am I concerned about the lack of curvature of the tag. I can see why it might be important on smaller dogs.

I'm about to order another tag, size small, for a 45 pound very short haired dog. I'm hoping it is as comfortable to her as this one is to my shepherd. I don't know how long the tag will hold up, but the engraving seems deep enough that even if the black paint (or whatever it is) comes off, the tag can still be legible enough to provide enough information if my dog decides to venture out on his own one day.

This tag arrived quickly and is very nice. The metal is extremely tough; I tried to bend it slightly so it would better follow the curves of my little girl's neck, and it wouldn't give AT ALL. While I do think it's too big for my 9.4 lbs pup, I'm not going to detract from the rating for it. However, I did take off a star because the corners are ridiculously pointy and sharp. No more lost tags! Item is very heavy duty and will last forever. I would suggest listing width sizes so item can be matched perfectly to collar. You won't be able to get it on if the collar is too wide and you don't want it hanging over the edges or falling off on a too small collar. The medium fits a 3/4-inch collar and the large fits a 1-inch collar. They also fit best on the webbing-type collars. Not a bad product. It works pretty well and does the job. The price is very reasonable for the product. I bought 2 of the 1/2 inches, 1 of the 3/4 inch and 1 of the 1 inch models. The issues I had were that I had to adjust it on my 3/4 inch collar leather with pliers because the collar I had was too thick but I made it work, and I had to curve the 1/2 ones so they fitted on my cats.
