Adorable paw print and you can get all info on the tag and its simple! My dogs have multiple collars and I dont like changing the tags. I have ordered Military tag a year ago, I am still using it and it is still legible and strong. When I tried to remove one line manually with sand paper it was not easy, print is very tough. Recently I’ve ordered another Tag and the tag and tag ring came even better polished. I would order again and recommend it to you. I tried the removable tag clips but they were not secure and the tags kept coming off. These tags are of good size and quality and very reasonably priced. The tags are easy to read and look nice. Wish I had known that they come with the small keyring to attach the tags to the collar, it would have saved me money. I spent $6 more dollars to buy small clips to attach the tag, but the clips make the tag bulky and low hanging on my dogs and if I had known about the keyring I wouldn't have bought the clips. Overall though nice tags for the price, especially since they come with a ring to attach the tag. If the ad clearly states that these come with the keyring for attachment, I will change this rating to five stars. I can't be happier. The tag is lightweight yet sturdy, engraving is solid and easily readable. I only chose one line of text on one side and two lines of short text on the other side and it was the right choice. They have adjusted the size of the font to perfectly fit the tag and the letters are big enough to read for anyone. We love our tags! They aren't too heavy such that they would add strain to the dog's neck, but they are strong enough that they won't easily become damaged. The engraving came out just as we had hoped (if I'm remembering correctly I put spaces between the letters and still got it all to fit). Excellent value!! These tags are great. The stainless steel wears better than the cheaper aluminum type that wear so thin you can't read the information. Nice, solid tags. They're good if your pet doesn't wear their collar 24/7. Mine do. The name on the tags started to corrode after about a month. They were easy to clean with alcohol, and looked good again. I didn't think about it for a while, and when I looked at my dog's tag, the tag was completely covered and it was unreadable. These dog tags are GREAT. Ive only tried the bone shaped tags so far. They are cut to perfection, and the tickness is good. Its nicely engraved, meaning the letters and number won't erase. I've gotten one for my 10 month old pitbull, 10 month old Rottweiler, 6yr old little Shihtzu, and 3yr old 110lb labrador and I've never had any kind of issues with the tags. I always order dog tags from Amazon now because it's a lot cheaper than in the pet store. This is the second time I've ordered from this vendor on Amazon and I am still impressed. The engraving on the Paw Print Dog Tag that we received seems of good quality. The engravings on the tag are clear and should be easy for anyone to read in the unfortunate event that our pet loses her way from home. The tag had enough room to place her name, our address, and our phone number. We feel comfort in knowing that, that important information is there if needed. The only complaint I have about the product and it's a small one - would be the tiny ring clasp that comes to hold the tag on the dogs collar. It does not seem durable. Seller took initiative and wrote on both sides (except paw style which has paw print on opposite side). This will work much better since previous tags have worn down due to rubbing against rabies tag. Nice large legible letters is a plus! Will be using for all my pet tag needs. A HUGE THANK YOU! My Belgian Malinois mix can chew through just about anything, but this dog tag is standing up to even her Dogzilla tendencies. It arrived exactly as promised by the date that was promised. The tags felt nice and sturdy, but I don't know if the stamp just didn't go deep enough or what. It looks like the engraving was almost scratched on instead of stamped on. The wording can be read from just the right angle, but you really have to work to read what they say. I guess it does the job; if my dog takes off, hopefully somebody works hard enough to read the name and phone number on their tags. The tag arrived a few weeks ago and it was better than expected. I’ve paid twice as much for the same quality in the past. The engraving is easy to read. My dog likes to chew and lick the tags, which wears down the metal making the letters illegible. This tag is deeply engraved with the letters appearing in black. I purchased the bone shaped pet tag for my own Pom/Doxie mix dog. It is quite durable, great quality. Not many tag companies allow you to have 4 lines of information on each side of the tag. Being a foster parent for multiple foster dogs, my fosters have worn the tags for several years. All of them have held up quite well. I recommend their pet tags! I like the look of this product. It is well made, thick, lite weighted and not too heavy for my maltese. The only thing I don't like. My Maltese neck area appears gray after a week. Very sturdy and the engraving is deep enough we shouldn't have trouble with wear. Our dog chewed up his last tag which was aluminun (?) So this st. Steel feels nice and heavy. Great tag! Only reason I deducted a star is because on my short haired hyper dog, she managed to stab herself with a corner from the star. Not the stars fault but a goofy dog. Really great product! Had purchased a aluminum style from a different Amazon seller and all the etched type faded off - so I search for a new tag, and saw this stule with a lifetime warranty. So I purchased for my 9 month old active pup, and it looks great! Also, we were at the bach not too long ago, and lost the tag. We used the ring the tag came with - so maybe not the most secure attachment. I got home, contacted the seller, and they happily replaced the tag no charge! I've had it a month and it's been great. Slightly discolored but the engraved information is still perfectly readable. My dog has black fur so I don't know if it's discoloring it at all like another review claims, but overall it was great for being only 4 bucks. Shipped pretty fast too. I received the Dog Tag promptly. It is stainless steel and thick enough to last for a long time with black lettering that is easy to read. I may use a different ring to attach it to my dog’s collar. The ring that comes with it seems a little weak. Two sided printing allows me to include my dog’s name, my name and phone, and his vet’s name and phone. I ordered one each for my Chi, my Yorkie, and my cat. The quality is good. No sharp edges, and the etching is nice and deep. Also, the engraving is on both sides, which I didn't realize until receipt, but it's a nice touch! I ordered the star shape; it is a bit large on these little guys, but that's just me underestimating what 1.5in would look like. That said, it still looks cute. These appear to be very good quality tags! They have not yet been worn by the two large stock dogs they were purchased for but appear to be up to the task of "rough wear". Loved the dogs tags. Have had to order multiple replacement tags since my dogs seem to lose them every 3-4 weeks since the attachment link is weak. They are outside dogs who like to roam my fields and woods. Get a strong attachment link like a strong key chain attachment circle and you should be fine. These are great, but the shipper tapes them to a piece of paper and the adhesive from the tape is really hard to get off of the tag. I have 2 small dogs (12 and 17 pounds) and needed new tags. I figured if these didn’t work, I wouldn’t have spent much on them. I cannot believe what I got for this price! The reason I can’t give 5 stars is because of the ring that is provided with the tag. It’s flimsy and small. Literally, about the thickness & strength of a paper clip. I ordered multiple tags for my Chinese Shar-Pei pups and not only were they shipped to me much faster than expected, but they're perfect! ... I've spent way more money for tags from other companies in the past, and either the colored side chipped off within a few weeks, or the whole tag cracked! The writing is clear and the shape of the tag is very nice, but the etching doesn't appear all that deep. My only concern is how long these will last before needing to be replaced. Item did not arrive, but I contacted the seller and they sent a replacement without any hassle. As far as I can tell the tag is exactly as advertised. It appears to be stainless steel (heavier than aluminum, not attracted to a magnet) and the lettering seems to be laser-engraved rather than printed like I was worried it might be. The engraving is pretty shallow (which is typical for a laser engraver on metal) so I'm not sure how it'd stand up to abuse, but my dog is pretty sedate so it's not likely to get beaten up. This tag works well. Yes, it has begun to show wear after a couple weeks, but what low-priced tag doesn't when it is constantly rubbing against the other tags? I leave the most important side facing outwards and that side has almost no wear. If you use this as a standalone tag it will be fine. For the very low price I am pleased with the engraving, it's readable, which is the most important thing. At this price, I can always order more than one, or it's not a big deal to change my info and order a new one if I ever need to. I love this tag! It came out much better than I expected. It is a thicker material so won't bend easily. I will say we did lose it once because the ring it comes with isn't great quality and the ring came off. But, we found the tag (not the ring!) and just switched out the ring. I purchased this star-shaped metal tag as a replacement for a cheap aluminum one that had become unreadable. The engraving on the CNATTAGS Stainless Steel Pet ID looks like it will last. After two months, there is no sign of wear from my dogs other tag rubbing on it. The finish of the tag was shiny when new, but quickly lost the shine after my dog got it dirty in mud. After I cleaned the mud, the tag was no longer shiny. That's ok for my needs. My dog is a 55 lb Labrador Retriever and the size of this tag is good. They are inexpensive and they let you get A LOT of printing on BOTH sides. I was able to include my senior dog's medical needs on one side and contact info on the other. For my puppy, I copied a popular printing from more expensive tags and put the contact info on the other side. Nice big tags. The star is a bit bigger than expected but my cat Midnight wears it proudly. The heart shape has plenty of room on it too for a decent size name and with more than one row. This order came very fast, I ordered it pretty late at night and they had it out for shipment the same night. Came in a clearly labeled envelope that was easy to distinguish from junk mail or bills. Only one downside, the coloring they used for the stamp seemed a little frail. I wiped off residue with a general disinfectant wipe and some coloring came off. I decided to clear coat spray the tags and it helped a lot. It made the metal more shiny and the stamp color appear clearer. Hopefully that will help the tags last longer. I just received my military style dog tag, promptly and as described. It looks well constructed and will do the job. I withheld the 5th star not because of the tag itself, but the small ring provided to attach the tag to the collar. Maybe it's just me, but I found the attaching ring provided to be on the small side, thin and the smooth ring surface I suspected could lead to wear or loss. I transferred the tag to a larger, thicker ring that had an alternating (larger, then smaller, then larger diameter) surface. This is a great dog ID tag. I was able to get all of my information using both sizes. Looks more like it should cost $20.00. I can't find any reason to not be happy. These should last for years. They say so on their web site and I believe it. The rectangle size is the best way to go here. They laser the characters into the tag so it should not just rub off in a couple of months. The tags had an estimated arrival window and they came on the very first day. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the laser engraving. The black makes them much easier to read than the ones I had before where it appeared the letters were just etched into the steel. I placed them in a ThunderCover tag silencer with my dogs' other tags and can still read the information perfectly without even having to remove the cover (couldn't before). There was also a business card with a promo code included in the package. Very pleased with this product and the speedy delivery. Recently purchased this for my 5 month old English bulldog and it's been great so far. Our dog gets bathed with it on and does pretty much everything with it on and it does not get damaged. I really like the tag. It is well made and doesn't rust or fade when exposed to salt water. However, this is the second time I have purchased the tag because the ring that comes with it is very weak. Our dog lost the first tag within months. I just found the new one off his collar and on the carpet in our house. I will replace the ring with a stronger one from a key ring but it would have been nice for the tag to come with a stronger ring. Durable!! I'm not rating the spiral rings since these always go in the trash for me and get replaced with S hooks from the hardware store. But I've had these a rather long time. Be aware, these tags are large. They are a good size for a medium to large sized dog, but not for a small one. They would hang down into the food and water dishes for a small pet. However, this company is awesome! When I ordered these tags and they turned out to be too large for my small pets, I called them to ask how I could send them back and get smaller ones. They said no need to send the old ones back! They replaced my large tags with new, smaller ones (with enamel designs on the front) at no extra charge! I got this tag as a replacement for an old one I purchased from another company because of some updates. I'm very happy with its quality and the price. UPDATE: I increased my star rating to 4 because we found the tag about 8 months after it fell off! Someone had found it on the street and placed it on a hydrant, where it sat through snowstorms and rain...and then one day I called our dog's name and someone who happened to be walking her own dogs asked if the tag belonged to us and showed it to us on the hydrant where a neighbor had put it. I love it! Looks so much better then the last one I bought a few months ago was the same price but from a different seller and was a smaller one because he was a puppy. He still is only 4 months old but over 35 pounds already so he needed a new bigger dog tag. It really stands out nice the print stands out more then his old one. I'm very happy! The only thing that I'm not 100% thrilled with is the little key ring it comes with is kinda thin so I might have to replace it with a bit heavier duty one later on just so it doesn't rip off. They accidentally didn’t line up as I expected... my street name is long & is a ROAD (not a street) & my city starts with Saint, abbreviated “St” so it lined up wrong on the tag “XXXXX St” just a small mishap. Bought two of these tags for my dogs. The benefit to this tag over others is that it can be engraved on both sides, meaning more details can be given about your animal. My dog has only worn this tag for a few days so far, so I can't yet speak to its longevity. However, it looks really shiny and well made, with a substantial, but not too heavy metal base. I got the stainless bone, with 4 lines on each side. I appreciated a choice of fonts, and the ability to have info on both the front AND the back -- included dog's name, our address, town, and state, my mobile number, husband's mobile and home phone, as well as my email. That's a lot of info on a small tag! In spite of all that, the font did not seem too small. Included a small ring for attaching to collar. The price was VERY reasonable, and shipping fast. I received my tags yesterday. The star is a little too big for my toy dog puppy. That is my fault since the measurements are on the listing. But it is cute and maybe he’ll grow into it. I will be ordering more from CNATTAGS. Their tags are cute and at a very reasonable price, that I was able to buy my puppies multiple tags! The only thing that I did not like was that the engraving looks a bit rusty. This is the second time I've ordered tags here. The tags are great, very quick service. My only problem is the split ring is too thin and flimsy. The reason I had to order a new set is because apparently my dog's tags got caught on something and pulled off her collar. The split ring that came with her new license is much more robust. Upon placing our order, we received the tags within a week. This is the 2nd time ordering form them. The paw print tag we got was cute. The engravings on the back was a good size font and legible. Tags are sturdy and not flimsy. The only suggestion I would recommend is to REPLACE the key chain ring it comes with, with a stronger one. We've accidentally hooked her leash to it and the whole thing came off. But other than that, it's a great product for the price. Was a little slow, but I'm probably getting spoiled by Amazon's rapid deliveries!
Only thing I would add would be a clear plastic adherent cover on one side, so that the tag doesn't clink with rabies tag and license permit, and worse, wear off the engraving (less likely here as the engraving is deep). Disappointed. I got 3 paw prints. I expected the words to not be "real engraving" in spite of description. But based on the pics I thought the paw print image would be formed in the metal as it appears silver in the pic. One tag the paw was off center. The paw and words are DARK grey/black. Easy to read, but are raised and a little rough, like fine sand paper. Seems like it would last a while, but "lifetime" is questionable. Metal is shiny, nice weight. These are perfect! We originally looked at the DIY machine in the entry of Wal-Mart but the tiny tags were $5/each and this size was $8. We didn't need them in a hurry so we checked online and found these. They are twice the size and half the price. $3.95/ea(we got 4) and the size is fine for our smallest, a snorkie at 5 lbs and heeler/ rot who is 100 lbs. We are very pleased. These tags are as good or better quality than tags costing 4 times as much (ASIN: B00BJLS55G) Two of these for about three dollars vs. 8 dollars each for the others. We have some of each, bought the expensive ones first and then these. The engraving is about the same - neither is very deep - but they're almost identical. The sheet steel that this one is made from may be a bit thinner but it's plenty sturdy and lighter weight.Price Quality Value
If I had it to do over again I'd buy these exclusively. There's no future in aluminum tags. Eventually they weaken & break at the attachment hole.

My husband and I recently purchased a new born puppy for our son. While welcoming a new little puppy into our family is exciting and fun it is also quite expensive. We visited our local pet stores to purchase necessary items, however the selection was small and a little pricey. I decided to search Amazon and I am glad I did. Very nice quality, the writing is crisp and easily readable, the tag itself is a sturdy, rather thick polished silver metal. This thing should be indestructible. I love the fact that these tags are printed on both front and back. Both of my Pitties have medical conditions that can be life threatening. I am a frugal person so tried to find a cheaper product when I first got a puppy, two years ago. All the pet shops were disappointing as they are lined with really pricey options for a dog name tag. Forget the addition charges to etch the name. I mean it's just a name tag not a necklace pendant for pupper!!! Found this product on Amazon and was extremely pleased with the results. I have ordered multiple tags 3 separate times and been very pleased with the look and quality. The only problem I have are the attachment rings. The have been snagged and easily stretched out to loose the tag. I end up buying titanium rings that are super strong instead of using the ones supplied. On my last order the text per line didn't match what it showed online but I was trying to fit a lot. I wish they had an oval that was small for essential info only. This is an awesome pet id tag, and is exactly what I was looking for. I bought the paw shaped tag and it is very attractive. The tag is of heavy weight stainless steel and it came with a nice attachment ring for my dog's collar. The thing that was very suprising was the clear, easy to read font. and stamping. I am sure that this stainless steel pet id tag will last indefinitely and be readable forever. We just received this personalized tag and I think it is a good value and a great price. My husband initially insisted it was stamped aluminum until I showed him that it was actually engraved. The print is legible and a nice sized font. My other dog has a similar one that might be a bit heavier but I can say that after 2+ years, the engraving on it has worn a bit, so I don't think they are meant to last forever. I have ordered 3 of these tags. The first one was lost because the ring failed. I ordered two more just in case one was lost again, I had a back up and didn't have to wait for another one to be made. The price is great for these, well engraved, and can be easily personalized! The only drawback is that the rings aren't very sturdy and break easy. I am a repeat customer and these tags are good, basically the same as rabies tags, a little thinner but the engraving seems the same. One of my dogs, a pup, liked to chew on hers and eventually I had to order another. She also chewed on her "sister's" and I replaced that one. But she was a heavy chewer and I'm attaching a photo of her rabies tag, her ID tag looked the same before I replaced it. Her new one is months old and no teeth marks or chewing, you can actually see part of it in the pic, to the upper right of the rabies tag. I chose this item due to the lifetime warranty. I have tags on all 6 of my dogs, and recently two went for an adventure and it was the tag with our phone number that got them home. Even though my pets are chipped and not allowed to wander, accidents happen and ID tags are the fastest way to reunite with your pets. Brought the paw first, then I brought the bone because the front and back could be engrave up to 4 lines and I could put more information on it. The engraving was free and very easy to see. Arrive fairly quickly. Not sue how long the engraving will last but seem to last a life time. My brother gave me his dog without me realizing he gave me his dog when he ask me to house train her. OK, when I first got these, I was disappointed, because they were not engraved. I was looking for something like my old dog tags. I bought these to hook to flag grommets prior to retiring them. These are excellent, well-made tags. I recently purchased a couple of 3- and 5-way fruit trees, like an apple tree with five different branches producing 5 different kinds of apple. The tree comes with little plastic bands on each branch naming each kind of apple, bands that will deteriorate in a year or so. I replaced them with these tags describing each variety of fruit and in stainless steel they will no doubt outlive me! These tags are a wonderful, attractive way to keep something labeled that is exposed to the elements. I imagine there are many other uses for them and at this low price and high quality, my garden/orchard will be well-labeled for life! I previously reviewed this and was not entirely happy because there were errors in the engraved information. I called the company, told them about their mistake, and within a week I got a replacement tag that is perfect. I was also told that if the engraving wears off because of being next to other tags, all I need to do is notify them, and they will replace the tags. The customer service is as good as any company I've dealt with. The tags are sturdy and look great, can't be chewed up by my other dogs, and I'm completely happy. These stainless steel dog tags are beautiful! We ordered three for our three dogs and they arrived ready for installation with a stainless metal ring for attachment to the collar. The tags are engraved with a dark brown letter scheme that you design when placing the order. All in all I am very pleased with this purchase particularly considering the very reasonable price. Shipped extremely fast! I gave it 4 stars because of how thin the metal is, but other than that I am very happy with it for the price!! I love that you could put so much information on it by having both sides engraved. The engraving is deep and clear so someone can easily read my wiggly waggly lab as she excitedly greets them. She tends to sneak off to roam the neighborhood because everyone knows and loves her so she often visits for treats. While it's sweet that they love her so much, the treats are a problem for this reason and the fact that she is already 95 plus pounds. I purchased two of these dog tags in December 2018. It took a while to receive the product - about 3 weeks. The tags were correctly imprinted with the information I'd provided. The letters have a black highlight so, the tags are very readable. The tag material itself is not thick but certainly thick enough not to easily bend. I am so happy with the tag I had made for my new pup! I especially like being able to engrave both sides of the tag. My dog is hearing impaired and I had my top line of the tag to say "Hearing Impaired", on both sides. Then his name and my phone number. I am very happy with the quality and the delivery, I will certainly use this seller again! My opinion - I really believe this tag was an exceptional buy. I have gone through every permutation a dog tag that I’ve been able to find and none of them last more than a few months with my active babies. Pretty soon they’re scratched and worn and you can’t read what’s on them anymore so I have to get new ones. These things are amazing. Well there are a few little dings and scratches and stuff they are still looking almost new and more importantly everything that I had written on them is completely and totally legible. I have gone through several dog tags which have lost their 'engraving', rendering them pointless. These dog tags not only have a much deeper engraving to them, the metal is thicker and the engraving has been blackened to make it more readable.Price Quality Value

Very fast shipping, especially for a personalized item. Printed exactly what I specified, so very happy. Both sides, too, for the same price! That allows for name, address, three phone numbers, and a job description (my dogs are working dogs). Painless and definitely cheaper than the vet’s office or the kiosks at Walmart. The ring connector was small for what I needed (150lb dog with a huge collar), but should be fine for most normal sized dogs. The print is faint and off center. The last number in one of our phone numbers is almost off the edge of the tag and is hard to make out. I don't think this is engraved and just does not look like it will last long. I bought the heart shaped one for my cat and it is large but the material is thin so it's lightweight. I was hoping for better and will probably end up replacing this soon. Disappointed mainly in the print clarity and placement....could have been much better. My family has two dogs, Peggy and Chewy "Chewbacca." I wanted to get them dog tags that will help them get back to us when they somehow gets separated from us. With these tags you have 4 lines for each side to put whatever info you feel you need. For both Peggy's and Chewy's tags we put my son as the contact person for one and the other my daughter. Our address, two phone numbers as well as a message saying " I am microchipped!" since we do plan on put one on both of them. But as I've stated earlier you can put whatever info you want. Really high quality tag, most tags don't allow you to get engravings on both sides let alone have the engravings be so legible. I do feel like if my dog was lost she would be bought back easily.The size of the tag and the large print people could easily read it (maybe even read it from far away) and get her back to me before something serious could happen. I decided to go with description of my dog and 4 phone numbers to get in contact with and in one of the pictures I tilted the tag in attempt to show the engravings, while in the other photos you can see the size comparison to other tags.Price Quality Value

I ordered three of the dog bone style tags for my three dogs. My dogs are very hard on collars/tags and they tend to lose them a few times a year. After buying several more expensive engraved tags from my vet I decided to find a more inexpensive alternative so that when my dogs manage to lose them replacement is not so painful in the old pocketbook.Price Quality Value
First, a word on customer service. My first three tags listed as shipped, but they never arrived. I waited a few extra weeks to make sure they were not just lost somewhere in the mail, but they never arrived. I notified the seller and received a prompt response indicating they were sending replacements at once. The replacements arrived a few days later in great shape. Though I never spoke to anyone, the seller promptly responded to my email, and as promised delivered a replacement order right away. There was no hassle or headache, just a simple notification and then immediate and positive response from a seller. This is the ideal model for an Amazon seller, since Amazon sellers rarely staff personnel to take phone calls from online customers. I could not be more pleased with the service.
As for the tags themselves, they are exactly as described, with the engravings matching exactly what I ordered. They are not the fanciest tags in the world but the engraving is neatly done in a very readable size and font. They will serve their purpose and they look just fine on my dogs collars. The tags are nice and thick so I imagine they will be quite durable. I believe the seller offers room for ample text to get the basic information that any pet should have on their collar with a little room for extra if needed. For example my Aussie is deaf and I had room to squeeze in "I'm Deaf" on a line which is important information for anyone who might find him out on one of his adventures.
I have only one small complaint with the tags. The small rings that arrive with the tags to mount them to the collar are double-wound cheap metal. This makes the tags easy to get on and off, but as far as keeping them attached to the collars of my dogs (who are masters at pulling tags off) I find them to be insufficiently sturdy. This is not uncommon among animal tags, and not unexpected given the price points for this product. Because this is not out of the ordinary for this type of product, and certainly within expectation given the price of this item I have chosen not to deduct a star. I will simply replace the mounting rings with sturdier versions, sourced elsewhere, in an effort to keep the tags from getting lost just a little bit longer. (Note to the seller, if you had offered a sturdier ring option I would have been willing to pay extra for it, food for thought)

Just got a new rescue dog & even though he's not the type to run away or escape, it's tradition in our family for all our 4-legged pets to proudly sport name tags & after some shopping around here & online, I settled on these CNA Tags.
The price was very reasonable & the tag arrived relatively quickly --quicker than advertised-- and it seems to be of above-average quality.

And a little line that let people know that Max is friendly but can be shy at first.

The tag itself is nice quality. The ring it came with to attach to the collar is a good size (big enough to attach to a large collar loop).

Great tags! I got 2 of them: the bone and the star. I loved that I could get printing - and a lot of it - on both sides. I got the following on both tags - there was plenty of room, and it was easy to read:Price Quality Value

The round works fine for my Chihuahuas 4 ½ pounds and over. The heart is smaller and is very satisfactory - very good for tiny dogs 2 ½ pounds and up. The printing on mine IS clear and it definitely IS etched. Attractive, does not wear off. Tags are so important to keep your pet safe . Comic sans turns out to be a good clear font.. I may try using some clear nail polish to protect them. This has not been my first time buying this brand, and I have no complaints . The ones from another company did not wear well. I ordered 3 hearts and 4 round on 12/20 and received them today Jan 2, 2019. I also have one that I have been keeping on my key chain for months for MYSELF, and it still is fine . I have that my dogs are microchipped and reward on one side tag. If one should escape I REALLY want him back . I purchased a number of metal metal tag attachers (meant for keys) from Auto Zone. Seller is very responsive and accommodating. Needed some engraving in Russian, they were nice enough to do a sample and send pics so that I can decide on the amount of Russian stuff I can put (how visible it is, what the font looks like)
My English tags have been used for a few months and my dogs are very active, they play rough, roll in mud and poop lol and overall, put the collars and everything on them to a test. I ordered 5 dog bone shaped tags. I'm giving a 4 star review for a few reasons.... 1. The tags were cut a little poorly. Not so bad you can't tell what they are, but I've seen better cuts on the tags in the store. 2. The letter is stamped, not engraved as stated when you order. I don't yet know if this is a bad thing or not. As time goes on I will update you on this. But we took our dogs camping and nothing rubbed off so I'm going with the positive instead of the negative. 3. They could have done a better job spacing the information on the tag. The 1st and last number on the phones numbers almost come off the edge. Otherwise I believe the purchase is worth the price. Update: I've had this for my lil Bear now 6 months and it's still good to go. I thought the lettering would scratch off or become unreadable, but it's still there. So for the price, I think it deserves the upgrade to 4 stars.Price Quality Value

You really do get what you pay for, so don't expect something really super quality here, at under $4 including shipping.
To that end, I am divided about how I want to present my review on these dog tags. On the one hand, the tag with the paw print is awfully cute, and with the engraving on the back, under $4, is pretty cheap. And I guess that's where the problem lies. Something this inexpensive (and no shipping costs, so that include the shipping), can't 'afford' to use quality processes or products. It is what it is. That said, this product has its merits-really cute, lightweight, and the no shipping costs is a plus (it arrives in a regular sized envelope).
The tag itself is stainless steel - thin but that's good because it won't add much weight. The paw print design is sweet. It came with the loop to attach it. There was plenty--I mean Plenty!-- of room on the back of the tag to put my name, phone, my dog's name, and the city/state (photos below - I of course blocked out my phone!). I realize now I didn't need all information; I guess I got carried away!
But after only about a week of my dog 'wearing' this tag, the black part of the engraving is rubbing off or wearing off (photo below). This leaves just the impression - which I'm not that upset about - isn't necessarily a bad thing; I can still read it, but it's rather light. I'll only wonder if the engraving part will wear away - especially as it rubs against his "rabies tag."
For this price, you do get just what you pay for, and if you are looking for an inexpensive tag for your pet or something temporary, then this fits that. I'm going to see how it wears over the next few weeks and if the engraving fades or is hard to read, I'll purchase something else and pay more for it. Actually, I'll look at the company and see if they have more of these but better quality ones - I'll gladly pay more for that - as I'll likely want to do one with less information on the back :D and something a little smaller perhaps.
I don't regret this purchase - for the money, I received something that if I decide I want something else, at under $4 including shipping it didn't break my bank and it allowed me to experiment with what I want to use as tags for my dog. (Posted on 1/30/2019) - Five Stars Review by Tasha

I think these tags are a good value for the price. The writing was clear and easy to read. I could see the text scratching off in the future, however most dog tags are subject to this similar wear and tear. Overall, I would recommend the product due to the value for the price!
